“In autumn, above every other season, it is possibleto have a great harmony between the garden and the larger landscape of fields and meadows and roadsides.” Allen Lacy – THE GARDEN IN AUTUMN
Lacy’s photographs of autumn gardens featured perennial beds that looked like natural tapestries, with tall grasses, spreading ground covers, and colorful late blooming flowers that seemed to sprawl over each other.
Gardening in autumn is done at a slower pace, so there is ample time to appreciate the colors and textures of the seasons.Beyond raking, general cleaning, and planting bulbs for spring, the work is finished. The perennial plants will get ready for winter now without much help from us.
What a magical little bridge!
Lovely!
