Stan and I, on a memorable sail under fair skies and  favorable winds, imagined making a journey together up the inside passage to SE Alaska. Didn’t happen!  Stan, this post is for you and invites all of you to enjoy my memories of multiple passages over 47 years on the inland passage from Puget Sound to Icy Straits.

Explore with Lee and Roger as they stop at scenic viewpoints, and hike with Toni, Paul  and their retrievers as they find unusual sights along the roadside trails. 

Welcome to Hecate Beach on the beautiful Oregon Coast. Toni’s stunning photographs taken from many angles offe a vision of the beach from new and engaging perspectives. Toni’s camera brings to life unusual sights defined by rocks, sand, water, and shore plants.

For those those of us fortunate enough, an old idiom rings true: “Our decisions determine our destiny.” For some of us, that destiny includes a destination. Travel is significant to how they evaluate the quality of their lives. Cathy & David Zeigler-Ross love to travel and they choose their destinations thoughtfully and plan the journey carefully.  With tickets purchased, lodging reserved, and bags packed, their hearts beat a little faster as they anticipate the day the plane lifts them into the sky and on their way to Paris.

We invite you to “escape the winter cold” to share Toni’s views of recent trips to Palm Springs and Hawaii. She found warmth and color in desert and tropical destinations! The stark beauty of the desert and the tropical flowers, foliage and trees illustrate a dramatic contrast to each other.
