When January arrives with its cold rainy days, it is time to consider a sun break! For several years our sun break was in Arizona; just looking at photos of those vacations can make us feel warmer!
WINTER 2003
SURPRISE, AZ, TUCSON, AZ,
We spent our first days at the lovely home of friends Rose Ann and Ian, relaxing on the patio and enjoying the citrus trees. Our excursion included lunches and dinners at luxury resorts, neighborhood walks to the pool.
We visited the Desert Botanical Garden, and toured the Phoenix surrounding area.
We drove to Tucson to spend a few days with Cathy and David at their centrally located rental apartment. Highlights were all the excellent Mexican restaurants and our experience at the Desert Museum. We learned so much about desert habitat and the animals that live there, thanks to our excellent guides!
