OLSON GARDENS IX – GARDEN HABITATS FOR BIRDS, BUTTERFLIES & BEES -By Lorelie Olson

Our gardens in Ponderosa and Everett attract a variety of birds, butterflies and bees.  Key attractions for the birds are several water features, while the butterflies and bees appreciate bright blossoms!  Join us as we visit these garden habitats in high summer.

EVERETT GARDEN

Our Everett garden includes three very different water features located near large shrubs and trees.  This combination offers birds a chance to rest and refresh on hot days!

PONDEROSA GARDEN

Our Ponderosa garden features a large concrete “fish fountain”, a small pond with a spray bubbler, and bird baths.  Perches and shelter are provided by fences, decks, and trees.  We have had so many kinds of visiting and resident birds.

BEES AND bUTTERFLIES

Bumblebees and other bees love to buzz around bright colored open blossoms before they find the nectar, so our gardens include pots and flower beds that offer vivid hues to attract bees and butterflies.

PONDEROSA GARDEN

Our daughter-in-law Toni is a gifted gardener and photographer.  She has captured some high summer beauty to end our visit.

WE HOPE YOU HAVE ENJOYED YOUR VISIT TO THESE HIGH SUMMER GARDEN HABITATS
