AN “OCTOBER FEST” OF SIGHTS – by Lorelie Olson

October provides nature’s final burst of seasonal colors from the translucent yellow of the Eastern Red Bud Tree to the flaming red of the Burning Bush.  And the anticipation of witches and goblins at Halloween on October 31.

We invite you to view a photographic potpourri to celebrate the many facets of this season in home and garden!

A special  thank you  painter Susan Reynolds and quilter  Gina Wilkins for sharing their art with us.

Lorelie Olson.

A GARDEN WELCOME

From seasonal flags to autumn flowers, October greets us with color and provides inspiration for projects.

GLASS PUMPKINS

My small collection of glass pumpkins is displayed from early October through Thanksgiving.

  1. I used to say I would like autumn more if I didn’t know winter was coming; but since I’ve been retired I have had time to get outside more and really enjoy the orange and gold and feel the crisp air. Your post captures all of that.

Thank you Lorelie & Tim for this beautiful array of fall delights. Inside & outside this season is stunning in so many ways & you did a great job of capturing the harmony and glory of the colors. Keep on enjoying this magnificent time of year.
    Cheers to all,
    Liz
