Monday, October 25 is Keith Olson’s birthday and we are delighted to publish several of Keith’s photographs. The poet Stanley Kunitz writes “That when you look back on a lifetime and think about what has been given to the world by your presence, your fugitive presence, inevitably you think of your art, whatever it may be, as the gift you have made to the world in acknowledgment of the gift you have been given, which is the life itself. ” Thank you, Keith, for sharing with us your marvelous photographs of the world we live in everyday.

Happy Birthday, Keith
I especially like the bird photos because birds don’t sit still very long and yet you captured that moment.
SOOOO very kind of you, Joyce. Our birds are a daily gift that requires no purchase, wrapping or mailing. Just there to present their magical beauty. Nature continues to reward, and I feel so blessed to try and capture the often fleeting moments to share!!!
We (Betty and and I) still remember the photos you were taking decades ago. These are on another level – artist at work. Seeing beauty to be captured in photos of seed pods and spider webs! That’s art! We loved them all. This old birder was especially taken by the look in the eye of the gilded woodpecker. All thanks to you for sharing your shared interest with Tim and Lorelie, Tim passing it on thru his blog, and whoever dreamed up recognizing birthdays as significant days to mark the passage of people’s lives.
WOW!!! Dave, yours truly is admitting to just now reading your most appreciated comments! Had I read them sooner, this reply would have been sent on the heels of your very kind thoughts! I tend to see the world through a lens which can be both rewarding and a curse!! I am so grateful for being a small part of notesfromanester. Tim and Lorelie have created a blog filled with memories and artistic talent! As you know, visits to your “neck of the woods” afforded me so many photographic ops! Hard to resist so much hidden beauty hiding in plain sight!! Of course, cannot ignore numerous landscapes in “these parts”‘ that feed my passion! And, many photos “develop” from our own private piece of turf! So….many thanks again! Our best to you and Betty!!
Oooooopsie! Tim…please feel free to send me to time out!! In “surfing” through the amazing blog that you and Lorelie have created, I decided to take a stroll down the Contributing Artists section!! I did recognize a familiar photo that was inviting anyone who might want to look at my shutterbug passion. My “stroll” led me to your very kind recognition of my birthday! How could I have possibly missed the comments in the A Happy Birthday Photo Sampler blog???? Perhaps I figured I was done with birthdays!!!! Not yet folks! As long as the rhythm of nature calls, I plan to FOCUS on the rest of the time I am given sharing the magic of Mother Earth!! My eternal gratitude to the amazing creators of an AMAZING blog!!!
