Cathy Ross – POET – “QUESTIONS FOR THE STARS” 1 Comment / ARCHIVES, CONTRIBUTING WRITERS / By Timothy Olson Winter Sky QUESTIONS for the STARS Do the stars knowthey have names? Do they realizethat we have made them into dot-to-dot pictures, the sort of thing we humans do to make sense of whatwe don’t understand? Would they be surprisedto find they are silhouettes of scorpions, chariots, dragons, swans, twins, and warriors? Would they enjoy the storiesof how they came to be: the clever fox who fell in lovewith a star, the drinking gourd that led slaves to freedom, the dog who sprinkled cornmeal to make the Milky Way?And do they smile down at us when they hear us sing“How I wonder what you are?” Auriga - Charioteer; Cigna - Swan; Draco - Dragon; Gemini - Twins Milky Way To read Cathy’s previously published poem, “Crossing Over” – click here Please leave this field empty NESTER POST Subscribe to the NESTER blog and receive emails .
