JUDY STERNBERG – QUILTER – A CHRISTMAS QUILT SHOW I

Judy is an exceptional quilter. We are delighted to have her return to the NESTER with two posts of her very special Christmas quilts.

Lorelie & Tim

AMERICAN BEAUTY CHRISTMAS QUILT

The American Beauty Christmas quilt is done with the paper piecing method. Paper Piecing refers to sewing fabrics to a paper foundation to stabilize the quilt block due to unusual geometric shapes, small pieces or odd angles on a bias.

Australian Angels

I titled this quilt “Australian Angels” because the pattern comes from Australia.  the quilt is hand embroidered and the middle strip took twelve hours to embroider

BORDER POINSETTAS

I used my design for BORDERS POINSETTAS and it was completed with machine. appliqué.

Applique (pronounced app-lee-KAY) is a French word that refers to the addition of decorative fabric to a larger piece of fabric. Applique can be elegant or simple, and it can create realistic, geometric, or abstract designs

Thank you for viewing these Christmas quilts.  May your holidays be filled with joy and beauty! MORE QUILTS TO COME ON THE NESTER!

    1. Judy is one of the best quilting artist I know, she designs her own patterns and creates great quilts by using a mixture of various technics. She creates out of the box, has fun and is willing to teach other quilters. A very talented Lady.
