Roses are often called “THE QUEEN OF FLOWERS”, rich in history, beauty, and symbolism. Art, religion, and literature have featured rose motifs since ancient times and in many cultures.
“Oh, no man knows
Through what wild centuries
Roves back the rose!”
Walter de la Mare
ENJOY THE BOUQUET
Massed roses provide colorful landscape highlights from a distance, whether growing as hedges or climbing along fences. A closer view offers subtle shade variations and petal structure of individual flowers.
“The red rose whispers of passion,
And the white rose breathes of love
Oh, the red rose is a falcon,
And the white rose is a dove.”
John Boyoe O’Reilly
During the fifteenth century Wars of the Roses in England, the red Lancaster rose and the white York rose were emblems carried into battle. The Tudor red and white rose came later to symbolize unity.
We hope you enjoyed your “bouquet.”
