The temperature is in the seventies; the sky is blue; the breeze is light. Feels like a summer day, but as we look around us during our afternoon walk, it looks like fall because it is fall. The grass is brown and weedy, the hydrangeas faded and dropping petals, the shrubs’ leaves are curling at the edges.
And then on a corner lot with a corner garden bed is a splash of color; Black Eyed Susans makes us pause and savor them for awhile. How welcome and mood lifting are the flowers of fall!
Join Lee and Roger on an Edmonds walk as they admire colorful fall flowers in gardens and in Saturday market bouquets.
