Today you can continue to experience southern hospitality and charm at its best in FEARRINGTON VILLAGE, North Carolina with Keith, a native of North Carolina, as your hostess. Her photography brings to life the highlights of the annual FEARRINGTON FOLK ART SHOW. ENJOY!
The annual Fearrington Folk Art Show features the work of self-taught artists who are deeply influenced by the spirit of folk art, raw vision, naïve art, primitivism and outsider art. On any given year, you’ll see whimsical paintings, sculptures, pottery and all sorts of work to get your imagination flowing. Fearrington has garnered a reputation for bringing together an eclectic group of outsider artists who represent some of the most interesting work to be found in the folk art world.
This costs – NO – really? More than our new car?
Stay tuned for the next FEARRINGTON post featuring the very famous belted livestock!

It truly was and is! Many come from great distance to enjoy the creativity of VERY skilled artists!! We feel so fortunate to have this annual event so close!! BTW…the artists are judged in order to participate! One of my skills are flaky buttermilk biscuits, but not aware that I could ever be accepted based on that!!!
Really enjoyed this! I went back to the first post to see that again too, and seeing the two posts just makes me marvel at the range of ideas. So creative and fun. And I laughed out loud at the sticker shock photo!
Thanks so much, Carole!!! Wish I could recall the $. I did have a chuckle at the raised “weapon” that creates a bit of fear or AMUSEMENT!!!!! It is such a wonderful journey into a world of creativity. What a privilege to be treated to the results of truly gifted artists!!
Fun
