Our portside communities provide perfect summer settings for outdoor picnicking at beach parks, dining at local restaurants or at home in gardens and on decks.
SAILING FREYJA
Watching sailboat races inspires every sailor to get back on the water. The 
Olson’s 85 year old wooden sloop, Freyja, however, inspires maintenance at the dock to make her in “shipshape” and ‘shiney-finey” condition before hoisting the sails and 
finding wind to fill the sails and enjoy sailing on Port Gardner Bay.
GRAND LIVING ON "GRAND AVENUE"
Streetside activities are plentiful in our neighborhood whether we walk to the Grand Avenue Park and bridge to the marina or just enjoy observing walkers, their dogs, and joggers from our front 
gardens. One unusual recent event was an all-day bicycle race, which brought out several groups of people to 
watch and cheer!

This festive post was just what the doctor ordered. With all of the chaos that rests heavy on all of us, enjoying the activities through the lens of Lee, Kathy and Karl is a special treat. I am sending this on Thanksgiving along with thanks for so many blessings for our family and friends. It’s for certain, our West Coast relatives relish all of the opportunities to enjoy life!!
