LEE LAGESCHULTE – Photographer – MARCH INTO SPRING IN NEIGHBORHOOD GARDENS

NEIGHBORHOODS IN BLOOM

Early March brought more winter weather, but spring was in the Northwest Washington  forecast and brightened the color of neighborhood gardens! Join Lee and Roger as they view early blooming trees, lawns, shrubs, and daffodils in sweeps of pink, green, white, and yellow.

How many, many things
They call to mind

“Spring’s Way.”

Winter fights to stay.
Sweet Spring always wins her way.
Flowers bloomed today!

Patricia L. Cisco.

“The flowers of late winter and early spring occupy places in our hearts well out of proportion to their size.”

Gertrude S. Wister

“The magnolia stands stately and tall with her branches reaching high into the sky; a symbol of strength and beauty.”

“There are always flowers for those who want to see them.” Henri Matisse

DAFFODILS BRING CHEER

Sunny yellow daffodils bring welcome touches of color in neighborhood gardens.  Join Lee and Roger  as they tour nurseries and enjoy  the displays for sale and ready to be planted in your garden.

“SPRING”

The air is cool, the breeze is light.
The clouds in the sky are fluffy and white.

The flowers open to show their bright faces,
as the garden snail alongside paces.

The trees unfold their bright green leaves.
The spider, a silken web she weaves.

The birds sing their notes high and clear.
Cheer up! Cheer up! Spring!

Teresa Underwood.

“Spring won’t let me stay in this house any longer! I must get out and breathe the air deeply again.”  Gustav Mahler

We hope you have enjoyed these colorful blooms of early spring! Capture the sunshine with a bouquet for home.

  1. Lee and Roger always brighten my day with their pictures of flowers taken while on their daily walks. What a treat.
