BEES – WILDLIFE IN THE GARDEN – Photographer – Keith Olson

BEES – WILDLIFE IN THE GARDEN continues Keith Olson’s focus on how she and Jerry share their garden in Greensboro, North Carolina with a variety of wildlife.  Two previous posts visually delighted us with photographs of birds and butterflies.  In this post Keith’s photos will enchant you with close ups of bees pollinating flowers and making the garden a thriving part of nature.

“The hum of bees is the voice of the garden”

“With social bees, Hunter Bee says, “Everything is ‘save the queen!’ By contrast solitary bees are gentle guys. They don’t don’t need to sting because there is nothing to protect. With a blue orchard bee, you can put out your hand in front of it (on its way to its Hole)and it will land on you.     Karen Lanier

“The lovely flowers embarrass me, they make me regret I am not a bee”

Emily Dickinson

“The flower doesn’t dream of the bee. It blossoms, and the bee comes.”

Mark Nepo

“Handle a book as a bee does a flower, extract its sweetness but do not damage it.”

John Muir

“Where there are bees there are flowers, and wherever there are flowers there is new life and hope.” – Christy Lefteri

“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the buzzing bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.”
-Ashley Smith

“The happiness of the bee and the dolphin is to exist. For man, it is to know that and to wonder at it.” – Jacques Yves Cousteau

                KEITH OLSON

 Oscar Wilde
