AUTUMN COLOR IN A HIGH COUNTRY GARDEN

I stare at,

Rarely seen in Edo,

The moon in the mountain.

From Lorelie:

You are invited to view a colorful garden with trees and shrubs of brilliant red, rich gold, orange, and bright yellow! Many years ago Tim and I planted burning bushes, vine maples, Norwegian Sentry maples, smoke bushes, and an Eastern Redbud. These trees and shrubs contrast with dark green  of firs and pines. During late autumn, the colors seem to change each day!

I want to go where

The leaves are burning

Burning in scarlet and gold;

The wind is up and

My heart is turning

Again to the forest of old.

Nature takes a sigh,

The air lets out a deep breath.

We reach for blankets.
