TULIP TRIPS II “ROOZENGAARDE” – Photos – Lee lageschulte – Text – Lorelie Olson

You are invited to join Lee and Roger on the second part of their spring tulip trip, this time to the Skagit County destination called ROOZENGAARDE.  This family-owned farm was founded in 1947 by Dutch immigrant William Roozen, on five acres, but today both family and acreage have greatly increased!

Although the fifty acres of bulbs are topped after bloom to prepare bulbs for the following spring, the five acres of display patterns provide longer lasting color. These displays include  both early and late blooms and are designed each year with different patterns.

Whether arriving in the parking lot or strolling between the fields and displays, the visitor is surrounded by colorful blooms of the tulips.

Thank you for joining Lee & Roger at ROOZENGAARDE and strolling with them while viewing the beautiful tulip blooms!
