FULL MOON FESTIVAL – Photographers: Jean Guth & Joyce Wagar

Editor’s Note:

Jean & Joyce invite you to join them at  the SEPTEMBER FULL MOON FESTIVAL in the Seattle  Japanese Garden. Stroll with them on the paths and enjoy the views in twilight and moonlight.

Tim & I have added several haiku to these lovely photographs. Perhaps they will inspire food for thought while you walk with Jean and Joyce.

The full Moon Festival is celebrated in Asian communities all over the world. An old saying explains: ” A gathering when people and the moon reunite to form a full circle.” Celebrations include music, dance, feasting, and, of course, viewing the same full moon with friends and family!

Thank you for joining Jean and Joyce in the Full Moon Festival experience, with its themes of celebration and serenity.

  1. Inspirational. Next full moon I will light the lanterns in my Japanese garden.

Tanks for the beautiful pics. I especially liked the reflections of the red-robed folks.
