In Beaver Valley a brief spring becomes a long summer starting in late May. It is in this crease between spring and summer when the valley bursts in splendid color from the fresh green tips of the conifers’s branches and leaves of the deciduous trees to the variety of colors of the flowering shrubs and wildflowers. In Shady Grove Garden we add eye catching color to the native plants with cultivars including perennials, shrubs, annuals and flowering trees.

CONIFERS AND DECIDUOUS TREES REACH THE SKY
Ponderosa pines cleanse and freshen the air we breathe and together with deciduous trees create interesting shadows within the garden.
The rustling and vibrating spring green leaves of aspens delight the ear while a Norwegian Sentry purple maple adds color and texture.
FLOWERING SHRUBS GREET OUR EYES WITH MULTIPLE COLORS
The rosy pink Nootka Roses and Aronias are native to our area and we enjoy them in several locations in the garden. We planted the pink double Weigela and white bridal veil spirea. They flourish and bloom equally well!
