After an updating of the Grimm’s tale, CINDERELLA,  Dave returns to the NESTER with another updated story from the past, THE THREE LITTLE. PIGS.  The story, familiar to all of us. continues today to be an often told tale. Originally an English fairy tale, the story first appeared in print in the 1840’s.  The story, however, dates much further back than the 19th century.  

Cathy’s poetry is a continuing presence in the NESTER blog. We are pleased to offer another of her poems that explores her life and its relationship to nature.

The lines “Waves the only sound I hear; white foam melts into the sand” are the descriptive lines beginning Cathy’s poem, “Beach Meditation.” The poem moves from the description into an inner meditation about transitions that all of us make during our lives. We are asked to join in this meditation with the poet.
