Sunday, October 3, is Michelle’s birthday and we are delighted to publish some of Michelle’s COASTAL ZEN DESIGNS.  This NESTER post is a “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” from us to Michelle and a birthday card from Michelle for all of us.  We can enjoy and appreciate Michelle’s creativity in this sampling of her beautiful designs.

Susan Reynolds returns to the NESTER with six recent paintings.

Susan writes “The goal of my paintings is to lead the viewer into my world of nature thru abstracted images. I paint because I love the process. From color, composition, line, farmland intuition. I approach my work with passion and creative choices.”

David’s eclectic camera lens returns to us again with yet another subject – flowers. His photos capture the essence of flowers and the joy they add to our lives.

The goal of my paintings is to lead the viewer into my world of nature thru abstracted images. I paint because I love the process. From color, composition, line, form and intuition. I approach my work with passion and creative choices.

Landscapes, birds and animals are my current subject matter. As I paint I commune and connect with nature. In the beginning I draw what I see and it becomes what I feel.

During painting I transform familiar objects, representing them just enough for the viewer to make their own meaning from my abstraction while allowing the viewer to take time to appreciate and to personally assess.

David’s lens this week surprises us by focusing on unexpected subjects for us to enjoy and, perhaps, to wonder what it is that attracts David’s attention.

In David’s previous posts he has focused his lens on a single subject. In this post his photographs illuminate the wonder of nature in our iives.
