A MEDLEY – DICK BERHOW’S ART WITH WOOD – From peggy Lincoln

Dad made beautiful American Girl Doll cabinets for both of his granddaughters, along with a work desk that had a pull out board. He used to sit at that and work on his stamp collection.

He made all kinds of beautiful cribbage boards using different woods to make patterns in the boards. They made wonderful gifts! He made just a few of the game boards as gifts.

My brothers and I were talking this morning and Joel brought up his time as a beekeeper! He had some hives out in their back yard and he harvested the honey. He did that until he got stung so many times, he became allergic!

Like I said, he was a busy man.

Sandy was more than a family pet;  she was a member of the family; she had many roles to play during her more than fifteen years of life! Sandy was Michelle’s constant companion at home and in the car.  Sandy brought joy and a sense of “It’s all good,” to the extended Olson and Proebstel families whether in Everett, Ponderosa or Sequim.

APRIL 15 ANNIVERSARY MEMORIES – By Lorelie & Tim Olson

April 15 is our wedding anniversary, and we typically celebrate before and after the actual April date as well as on the day itself. Bouquets from Tim, dinners with friends and family, special trips to favorite places, gatherings small and large, and shopping for garden furniture and art have been favorite ways to celebrate. In recent years our celebrations have been simple, but we enjoy recalling our two most memorable anniversaries!

OLSON SCRAPBOOK XI – ROY & IDA – LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT? -By Tim Olson

The first time my dad saw my mother, I would like to imagine that he was immediately smitten and thought she was “absolutely” the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.  I don’t know that because Dad hid whether or not he noticed beautiful women. Similarly, I can only imagine what my mother thought the first time she saw my father.  Having heard the story several times, however, of their first meeting, I  know their meeting took place in the middle nineteen-twenties on a bus in Spring during Holy Week somewhere between Minneapolis and Albert Lee, Minnesota.  I can imagine, however, that it must have been “love at first sight”. What else could explain it?
