SHARING HABITAT WITH WILDLIFE IN EDMONDS, ON THE SHORES OF PUGET SOUND, AND IN PONDEROSA, IN THE CASCADE MOUNTAIN FOOTHILLS -

In remembering Tim’s and my city and country spaces, we shared the habitat with more wildlife creatures than we realized. We sometimes heard the birds. chirping or the the bushes rustling from hidden creatures, but only once in a while did we spot the source of sound or movement. Other wild creatures might have appeared within our sight, either resting out of reach, or visible in their movements. PONDEROSA IN THE CASCADE FOOTHILLS

Birds are often visible, sometimes noisy, and often surprised us by coming close! Paul and Toni, now living in Ponderosa, are often awakened by a tap on their window from a young friendly swallow, and this past spring were graced with a robin’s nest on a climbing hydrangea.

On local hikes Toni’s camera even caught an eagle in flight.

EDMONDS ON THE SHORES OF PUGET SOUND

Lee’s walks on the Edmonds waterfront offer the sounds and sights of shore animals: ubiquitous seagulls, doves, crows, herons, harbor seals, starfish, and crabs.

Sometimes Toni’s walks, on and off her property, provide glimpses of wildlife blending into their habitat. Her photos share with you what she sees at eye level and and beneath her feet!
